[1.21.1 neoforge] Infinity and dimensional card not working

Hi,

I've installed RSInfinityBooster on my modpack but, it seems it doesn't work.

When we put a infinity or a dimensional card, the wireless transmiter become black and say it's inactive.

• Mods and loader info :
  • RSInfinityBooster : 1.21.1-1.0.0.44
  • Refined Storage : 2.0.0-beta.2
  • Neoforge : 21.1.162

I found out when i switch to creative controller it works and it works fine in other dimentions like nether or end. it can be some config type in refined storage but ill just use creative one

I check the config server side and change the value and i think it's very clear.
We haven't any information on the unit used with the value or the multiplier (I don't know).
I have a player who produce 4 MFE and both of the infinite (value 4000) and dimensional (8000) would work with default value but work well on 1000 of this value.
Maybe an info in the description of each card could be usefull

For future reference, here is an easy workaround:

• Go into the refinedstorage-common.toml and increase the controllers energyCapacity (the default is 1000) to 100000.
  • Note: This has to be done on both server and client if you want the change to be visible.

I think the reason that the card fails is that it physically can't draw enough power from the controller if the default power capacity is in place.

I think the reason that the card fails is that it physically can't draw enough power from the controller if the default power capacity is in place.

this seems to get it going, but now everything is just flip flopping on and off, I have 3 windmills going from mekanism which power up controller just fine to 100kfe, as soon as I add RSInfinitybooster it cannot get charged up more than like 7kfe, it goes from 7 to 0 in seconds. Unsure what's going on. Noticed as soon as infinitebooster is placed the entire 100kfe is drained.

Unsure if this is by design, but I put together a gas burning generator and that stopped the energy issues, but I did end up increasing energyCapacity to 10000 as well as suggested by @bastirlnd

Just as a general info point for the cards, 3 windmills from mekanism will never be enough as the dimension card draws 8000 fe/t.
Meaning that you need to pump at least 8000 + whatever else you have attached to your setup in energy costs into the controller to avoid a system shut down.

Please also note that the mekanism cables store a LOT of energy depending on how long the cable is, so that might also be it.

TL:DR:
Make sure you have enough power generation when using either the infinity or dimension cards as they have a HUGE power draw per tick that needs to be satisfied otherwise it will drain your system dry instantly (you can also click on your core to see which component of your system draws how much power).

Default card fe/t drawals (as far as I remember):

• Infinity Card: ~4000 fe/t
• Dimensional Card: ~8000 fe/t

I just ended up using interdimensional wireless tx and all my problems are solved. Went back to 1000 default value on the rs controller.
