Have the instructions changed for FS25? #46

It sounds from your description that the map author has given the heightmap file a non standard name, i'll look into it as soon as i can and add it to repository, if you are using V1.1.1 of the editor, there is a menu option to import the images directly from the maps zip file, makes the import of images much easier and i tweaked the node height calculation in the latest version so you should see less nodes under the terrain. |

Thanks for your reply! I have since made a python script to move the waypoints back to where they belong. I was lucky in that this map is mostly flat so finding the Y coordinates that were wrong was pretty easy as well as finding a known good Y coordinate to move them to. I am using version 1.1.1 so I will try the import from zip file option. I have also started using your tip about loading and saving Routes so that I can keep the game and editor running at the same time. This greatly cuts down on the problem I am having with the overview not saving. Since the Huron County 16x map was converted from FS22 I imagine there may be some inconsistencies in its file structure that are compounded by multiple people "fixing" it since it was converted and released. Thanks again for maintaining this great tool! |

I'm having trouble with the heightmap in Huron County MI 16x. In this map it's named Dem.png instead of Map.dem or at least That is what I think it is. When I follow the steps in "PNG - how do I get this for any given map that is not already created and listed here? #20" I run into two problems.
The first is that after loading the overview.dds and saving it as described in the instructions it does not load again after I restart the program. This means every time I restart AutoDrive editor I have to use import FS22 PDA Image and then save it again.
The second is that I think the heightmap is wrong because any changes I make to the AutoDrive_config.xml end up with the waypoints under the map. I have tried everything I can think of to include starting from scratch with no luck. Is Dem.png not the same as Map.dem was? A google search told me that they were the same so I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you so much for this tool, I have used it before without the problems I'm having with Huron County.
