๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ Is there an existing issue for this?
๐๏ธ Current Behavior
The current docs at https://docs.opire.dev/overview/introduction#benefits-for-open-source-maintainers mention as the first point โYou lose nothingโ but that has recently become inaccurate.
๐ฎ Expected Behavior
Instead, they should mention the honest trade-offs. By having an issue registered on Opire, you expose your project to a constant flood of AI spam. Every few days or hours, a bot comments a generic "claiming this bounty" and then attempts to "solve" the problem. So the main issue with Opire is that you trade your free time developing software for moderating spam. Not a 1:1 trade, but definitely worth mentioning.
This issue is probably not going to be solved too soon, so the right approach would be to document this explicitly.
๐ข Steps To Reproduce
- Open an issue, and make sure to stay subscribed
- Register a bounty on the issue
- Watch your notifications flood
