Software: add Databasement, CloudDM, Oxyde ORM, SlowQL (#167)
Daily automated resource curation for 2026-10-30. - Databasement — self-hosted, web-UI MySQL/MariaDB (+ 6 other engines) backup manager with scheduling, SSH tunnels, and cross-server restore. - CloudDM (open-cdm) — free web console for querying/managing MySQL with access control, SQL auditing, and data masking. - Oxyde ORM — async Python ORM with a Rust core, MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQLite. - SlowQL — offline Rust SQL static analyzer with MySQL-aware security, performance, and compliance rules. CloudDM (published on GitHub as `open-cdm`, under the ClouGence organization) is a unified web console for querying and administering MySQL alongside Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, TiDB, OceanBase, ClickHouse, and several other engines — covering tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, users, and roles.
24+
25+
Its access-control model separates resource permissions (granted at the instance, database, schema, or table level) from function permissions assigned through roles, and supports permission requests and temporary grants. SQL auditing adds 54 built-in audit rules, configurable security policies, and data-masking, plus pre-execution checks that can warn about or block risky statements. Database changes can be triggered through Git push, webhook, or HTTP call and routed through SQL-audit, permission-ticket, or change-approval workflows, with SSO via OpenLDAP, OIDC, or Windows AD. It's released under the Apache License 2.0 and deploys standalone or as a console/sidecar cluster, via an install package, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Databasement is a single-container application that backs up and restores a MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, Firebird, or Redis/Valkey server from a web interface, using the native dump tool for each engine (`mysqldump`/`mariadb-dump` for MySQL and MariaDB). It can reach databases behind a bastion host over an SSH tunnel, or in a firewalled network through a lightweight outbound-only remote agent that dumps locally and uploads to storage.
22+
23+
Backups can be scheduled daily or weekly with time-based or GFS (grandfather-father-son) retention, compressed with gzip or zstd, or encrypted with AES-256, and stored locally, on S3-compatible storage, Azure Blob Storage, Samba/SMB, or SFTP/FTP. It also supports cross-server and scheduled restores (for example, refreshing a staging database from production nightly), multi-tenant organizations with role-based access control and OAuth/SSO login, and a REST API plus an MCP server for scripting and AI-assistant integration. It's released under the MIT license and deploys as a single Docker container, via Docker Compose, or on Kubernetes through a Helm chart.

Oxyde is a Python ORM, installed with `pip install oxyde`, that pairs a Django-flavored query API with Pydantic v2 models for validation and serialization, while delegating SQL generation and execution to a native Rust core for speed. It targets async-first code built on `asyncio`, and ships Django-style `makemigrations`/`migrate` commands plus a `transaction.atomic()` context manager with savepoint support, against MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.

The project's own README documents a microbenchmark (ops/sec, higher is better) against several popular Python ORMs — Tortoise, Piccolo, Django's ORM, SQLAlchemy, SQLModel, and Peewee — on all three supported databases; full methodology is published in its docs. Oxyde is MIT-licensed and, per its README, is a young project under active development whose API may still change between minor versions.

SlowQL scans `.sql` files and application source code for SQL-related security, performance, reliability, cost, and compliance problems without connecting to a database. It's dialect-aware across 14 database engines, including MySQL, with 107 dialect-specific rules and 175 universal ones out of 282+ total, and it automatically classifies scanned files as application code, migrations, tests, seeds, framework internals, or documentation so rules are filtered by context.

Findings are split into three confidence levels — `proven` (structurally verified), `contextual` (accurate given schema/usage context), and `advisory` (style hints) — so a CI gate can run in `proven` mode while a manual code review adds the other two. It installs from source with Cargo or runs via a published Docker image, and integrates with CI through a GitHub Actions output format and a configurable failure threshold. SlowQL is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
