Does not work at all

The "Angry IP Scanner" does not work at all in my Windows 11 system. From ca. 100 devices in the network only 4 are detected. How can anyone offer to download such a software? It is completely useless.
I will search another IP-Scanner.

Suggestion I started on Windows 10 and now on WIndows 11; I determined the results were more relliable when I changed the default settings. I limited the treads to 32 devices at a time. Down from the default of 100. I did not experiment with numbers in between those values. 32 threads provides reasonable response times for me even with a text file that contains 14 256 address networks 8 Ipv4 and 6 IPv6. I did not see a need to report this at the time because I thought it might be a limitation of my switch which processed most of the requests. I do not believe my loss rate was a high as this user is reporting; but I was testing the switch configuration with a limited number of devices. With the lower thread setting; I have found the results to be very reliable.

Do you have java installed? this app is java dependent.

I do not know if this question was for me or the original poster. If it was for me I installed version 3.9.3 using the windows installer (if I recall correctly the windows installer includes java) and am happy with the output after reducing the number of threads from 100 to 32. As stated I did not test any values in between the default and the successful value I found reducing the number of threads.
