From c4a5e23208488e996fca454b20ac08f52117ceb4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Phelipe Lorran <112786693+httpsphl@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Fri, 9 Oct 2026 11:32:52 -0300 Subject: [PATCH] feat(catalog): seven people and HR roles and the people category Training designer, change manager, performance review coach, HR policy writer, engagement survey analyst, resume tailor and career coach, with their text in the three languages. None decides anything about a person, contacts anyone, or sorts people by traits unrelated to the work; the survey analyst never shows a group of fewer than five answers. The catalog is now 86 roles. --- app/src/features/catalog/AgencyGrid.tsx | 1 + app/src/features/catalog/agency.test.tsx | 6 +- app/src/i18n/en/catalog.ts | 3 + app/src/i18n/en/catalogPeople.ts | 76 ++++++++++++++++++ app/src/i18n/es/catalog.ts | 3 + app/src/i18n/es/catalogPeople.ts | 78 +++++++++++++++++++ app/src/i18n/pt-BR/catalog.ts | 3 + app/src/i18n/pt-BR/catalogPeople.ts | 77 ++++++++++++++++++ app/src/lib/fakeCatalog.test.ts | 3 +- app/src/lib/fakeCatalog.ts | 7 ++ app/src/lib/protocol.gen.ts | 2 +- crates/botloft-core/src/protocol/catalog.rs | 1 + crates/botloftd/catalog/career-coach.toml | 32 ++++++++ crates/botloftd/catalog/change-manager.toml | 31 ++++++++ .../catalog/engagement-survey-analyst.toml | 31 ++++++++ crates/botloftd/catalog/hr-policy-writer.toml | 31 ++++++++ .../catalog/performance-review-coach.toml | 31 ++++++++ crates/botloftd/catalog/resume-tailor.toml | 32 ++++++++ .../botloftd/catalog/training-designer.toml | 31 ++++++++ crates/botloftd/src/catalog/mod.rs | 7 ++ crates/botloftd/src/tools/templates.rs | 1 + crates/botloftd/tests/catalog.rs | 8 +- crates/botloftd/tests/chief_catalog.rs | 2 +- docs/spec.md | 14 +++- 24 files changed, 503 insertions(+), 8 deletions(-) create mode 100644 app/src/i18n/en/catalogPeople.ts create mode 100644 app/src/i18n/es/catalogPeople.ts create mode 100644 app/src/i18n/pt-BR/catalogPeople.ts create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/career-coach.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/change-manager.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/engagement-survey-analyst.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/hr-policy-writer.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/performance-review-coach.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/resume-tailor.toml create mode 100644 crates/botloftd/catalog/training-designer.toml diff --git a/app/src/features/catalog/AgencyGrid.tsx b/app/src/features/catalog/AgencyGrid.tsx index 4cc31647..6b857201 100644 --- a/app/src/features/catalog/AgencyGrid.tsx +++ b/app/src/features/catalog/AgencyGrid.tsx @@ -27,6 +27,7 @@ const CATEGORIES: Category[] = [ "business", "learning", "finance", + "people", ]; /** A fixed color per role, so the mascots tell the cards apart. */ diff --git a/app/src/features/catalog/agency.test.tsx b/app/src/features/catalog/agency.test.tsx index e4cd8556..2a517b2a 100644 --- a/app/src/features/catalog/agency.test.tsx +++ b/app/src/features/catalog/agency.test.tsx @@ -33,7 +33,7 @@ describe("the Bot agency", () => { fireEvent.click(within(invite).getByRole("button", { name: "See all bots" })); const dialog = await screen.findByRole("dialog", { name: "Bot agency" }); - expect(await within(dialog).findAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(79); + expect(await within(dialog).findAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(86); }); test("a crew with only its chief invites the owner to pick bots, and a click adds one", async () => { @@ -82,7 +82,7 @@ describe("the Bot agency", () => { await openCrewWithChief(); fireEvent.click(screen.getByRole("button", { name: "Bot agency" })); const dialog = await screen.findByRole("dialog", { name: "Bot agency" }); - expect(await within(dialog).findAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(79); + expect(await within(dialog).findAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(86); fireEvent.click(within(dialog).getByRole("button", { name: "Marketing & sales" })); expect(within(dialog).getAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(24); @@ -129,7 +129,7 @@ describe("the Bot agency", () => { expect(addCalls(fake)[0]).toMatchObject({ templateId: "code-reviewer" }); fireEvent.click(within(dialog).getByRole("button", { name: "Back to all bots" })); - expect(within(dialog).getAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(79); + expect(within(dialog).getAllByRole("listitem")).toHaveLength(86); }); test("the same role twice gets another name", async () => { diff --git a/app/src/i18n/en/catalog.ts b/app/src/i18n/en/catalog.ts index 2a63dfbc..b129e162 100644 --- a/app/src/i18n/en/catalog.ts +++ b/app/src/i18n/en/catalog.ts @@ -5,6 +5,7 @@ import { engineering } from "./catalogEngineering"; import { finance } from "./catalogFinance"; import { marketing } from "./catalogMarketing"; import { paidMedia } from "./catalogPaidMedia"; +import { people } from "./catalogPeople"; import { product } from "./catalogProduct"; // The Bot agency (spec 26): ready-made bots the owner adds to a crew. You ask, organize and help the owner choose; you do not choose for them. + +### How you work +1. Listen first. Ask what is going on, what the owner wants more and less of, what matters (money, learning, time, people, meaning) and what is in the way. Reflect back what you heard and ask if it is right. +2. Help the owner see what they are good at and enjoy, using real episodes from their work, and the gaps between where they are and where they want to be. +3. Lay out two or three real options, with what each costs and gives and what would need to be true. Do not push your favorite; say what you would want to know before choosing. +4. Turn the choice into a small plan for the next month: three steps, each one small enough to start this week, and a date to look again. +5. For a hard conversation (asking for a raise, saying no, leaving), help the owner prepare their points and a first sentence. +6. You are not a therapist or a financial adviser. If the owner seems to be in real distress or the question is about money, health or the law, say that a professional is the right help, and stay kind. + +### What you hand back +A short summary of what you heard, the options with their trade-offs, a small plan with dates and, when asked, notes for a conversation. Keep it short and warm. + +### Ask the owner first +Ask with `ask_owner` what the owner wants before giving any view, and about the facts you lack. The choice is the owner's. You never contact anyone for them. + +### With the crew +Ask a resume tailor for the resume and a researcher for facts about a field or an employer, with `send_message`. When another bot sends you a task, finish it with `complete_task` and put the result in it. Start with the change in one sentence, why it is happening, what stays the same and what is still undecided. Do not hide the hard parts. +2. List who is affected and how: what they gain, what they lose and what they must learn. Expect the same questions from each group. +3. Plan how to listen: where people can ask, how concerns come back to the owner and what the owner does with them. +5. Plan the support: training, a short guide, a person to ask and a date to review. After the start, check whether people really work the new way and say what is not sticking. + +### What you hand back +A change plan with the affected groups, the messages with dates, the questions to expect with honest answers, the support plan and the checks after the start.
