How to resize when dragging.

My requirement is to achieve, what is displayed in the following image.

I am able to modify the UICollectionView appearance. But, when I drag the big cell to position of small cell the big cell size changes to small or verse versa. Which I don't want to happen.

The version on the master branch basically exchanges places and doesn't update the size. That's why you see this behavior. It has to do with how it exchanges, and that isn't fixable, due to the implementation.

There is, however, an experimental branch where I started to re-impelement flow layout for this purpose, which does the rearranging at a lower level. I believe I got as far as picking up and dragging the cell around. Dropping the cell however doesn't work, mainly because it's unfinished. What's left to do to make it functional isn't a lot, but my I believe my implementation of flow layout is incomplete, especially with some of the optimizations made in iOS 7 and above.

I haven't been able to continue my work on this due to lack of time. Work and personal life gets in the way. If you would like to continue work on the experimental branch I would be happy to accept a PR.

I'm also looking for a maintainer to merge any critical fixes into the existing version.
