Allow User to select, which folders are synced

I would like to be able to select via a checklist, which folders are synced:
() DCIM
(/) Downloads
(/) Documents
(/) Audiobooks
() Movies

etc. Also it would be really nice to be able to select the sync strategy per folder (server wins / smartphone wins)

Reason: My pictures in DCIM are already synced via immich, so I don't want them to be synced again to webDAV.

Hi,

You can select your sync strategy within the "Synchronization settings" menu from the home screen.

Regarding folder selection, you can choose which specific folders are synchronized by going to: Synchronization settings > Advanced synchronization settings
(I agree the wording "Advanced" might be a bit unclear—it is where you can include or exclude specific local directories).

There are options to select which folders are synced under advanced settings, but if a new folder is added on root it gets synced automatically, I think the better approach would be to disable folders by default and enable only what you want, or alternatively a toggle between disable and enable by default. Another thing which would be nice to see is an option to select a local directory alongside the already existing option for selecting a remote directory, so you can don't have to sync the whole internal shared storage, if you require only one synced directory (i.e. Obsidian notes).

Hello. I agree: just installed the app (1.15), and in Synchronization settings > Advanced synchronization settings,
I face to a huge list of checkboxes, ALL being checked, that is 1 for every (sub)folder in my file system (well, some are missing, don't know why ; ex. just created some XXX folder under the "root" one, and it never appears in the list).
That's pretty unusable.
At least, if the intermediate folders of the whole tree were in the list, one could disable sync for all it's subfolders in 1 click, and it would become easier.

Hi, latest release is 1.25.
Double check you have the latest release.
In that release, if you switch off sync for an intermediate folder, all subfolders will be disabled automatically.
Please report back if it is not the case.
