There is a mismatch in expected behavior for pull to refresh. The area of the screen that is listening for the input changes based on whether or not there are items in the feed:
- Touching and dragging down on items works
- The placeholder area showing "No Articles works
- Empty space below visible items does not work

Adjust the empty area below loaded feed items to accept input for pull to refresh

Screenshots attached reflect the different contexts and input locations. I'd be willing to help with implimentation but I'm still pretty inexperienced so would likely need guidance.
