Article Preview Functionality

Is it possible to add functionality to preview an article without needing to set it live.

If the URL has a hash on the end then it should be viewable despite not being live or within date. You should be able to revoke a preview URL so that a new hash is created and the previous URL stops working.

Ultimately I would like to see a live preview using websockets so as your edit the document and before you save you can see what the document looks like. This would be different from the preview URL discussed above.

I have just implemented this on an old control project with the following algorithm:

if article is live
  show article
else
  if url doesn't have previewKey param
    404
  else
    calculate a hash over the article entity's fields
    if the previewKey param matches the hash
      show the article
    else
      404

My logic is:

• no extra field in the database
• previewKey cannot be calculated unless the article content is known

However, there is no way to revoke the key, except by editing the article content. Thoughts?
