From b85aebf3e5609ea4358836bd67a10c6a043cad3b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: grok Date: Wed, 7 Oct 2026 17:24:21 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] review: cut receipt evidence at the real ## Output heading MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit A worker controls its final message, which the receipt quotes with '> ' on every line. receiptEvidence split on the bare substring '## Output', so a worker whose message contained '## Output' truncated the evidence before the checks table — the reviewer then saw only the claim and confirmed it. Match the heading anchored at column 0 so a quoted '> ## Output' no longer ends it. Adds a regression test. --- src/review.ts | 9 ++++++++- test/review.test.ts | 27 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2 files changed, 35 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/src/review.ts b/src/review.ts index 6ec6151..e0d6df7 100644 --- a/src/review.ts +++ b/src/review.ts @@ -58,7 +58,14 @@ export function groundedViolations(reply: string, task: string): Violation[] { /** The receipt as evidence: everything above its raw output section, capped. */ export function receiptEvidence(receipt: string, cap = 14_000): string { - return receipt.split("## Output")[0]!.slice(0, cap); + // Cut at the receipt's own "## Output" section heading — a line that is + // exactly that, anchored at column 0.
