When we store the IDs for versions in DNA, we do this as Ints. This was originally done because we were using shotgrid to model our data. In hindsight this was not the correct approach. Other PT software such as ftrack use uuid's and other PT software may use other types of IDs. To ensure we have the greatest level of compatibility we need to convert the IDs used in DNA to be strings instead of ints. This will allow the greatest amount of compatibility as the PT provider can handle the translation of IDs from strings to ints.
Acceptance Criteria:
- Research the use of IDs within the storage and prodtrack providers and the frontend. Make a list of where IDs need to be updated
- Update the models to handle IDs as strings.
- Update the shotgrid provider to handle the conversion of IDs from ints to strings and visa-versa
