Part of the ecosystem-wide sweep to Rust 1.98.1 / lance 12 / lancedb 0.39. lancedb 0.39.0 pins lance =12.0.0; arrow 58 / datafusion 54 unmoved. The lancedb 'remote' feature stays on where it was: 0.39.0 still has the ungated 'pub mod job' defect.
