Summary

The CoreTrace repositories move to one NOTICE format, starting with CoreTrace/coretrace-stack-analyzer#261: the project's name, "Copyright Hugo Payet and the CoreTrace contributors", and the repository's URL. In this repository, the name and the year were already right.

Change

  • NOTICE gives the repository's URL, so every copy that reproduces it, as Apache-2.0 requires of derivative works, points back here.
  • It credits the CoreTrace contributors alongside Hugo Payet. Hugo Payet is the only author so far, and the wording stays accurate after a first contribution.
  • CHANGELOG.md lists the change under Unreleased.

Verification

  • No file in this repository reads NOTICE: Dockerfile.release copies it into the release archive, and the README links it.
  • This repository has no commit message check; the three messages pass the commit_checker.py of coretrace-compiler, the strictest in the organization.

Apache-2.0, section 4(d), requires derivative works to carry the
attribution notices in NOTICE. With the repository's URL in it, every
copy that follows the license points back to this project.
Hugo Payet is the only author of this repository so far. The NOTICE
of the other CoreTrace repositories credits their contributors next
to him; this one does the same, so it stays accurate after a first
contribution.
Every redistribution of the analyzer must keep NOTICE, so the change
is listed for users.
