Separate minimal-medium co-maintenance from unsupported ecological mechanisms #1320

Closed

Description

@realmarcin

Finding

Source-based self-adversarial review of CommunityMech:000193, not independent approval.

The reduced-medium-to-maintenance arrow only says that the medium was the chemical setting. It does not establish a directed ecological mechanism. Medium development and observed population co-maintenance do not establish COLONIZATION_FACILITATION; separate monoculture capacities do not establish NICHE_PARTITIONING or indefinite stability. The C. bescii source includes measured transcriptomics/proteomics, so it must not be described as computational-only evidence.

Evidence And Acceptance

Exact-system primary abstract and its ORNL bibliographic record read; full body not obtained through the attempted public routes. Read C. bescii primary Introduction, Methods, proteomic/transcriptomic Results and Conclusions. Retain all three observations with scope limits, remove the context-only edge and unsupported categorical types, preserve the earlier removed capacity-to-maintenance edge, distinguish empirical member evidence from community mediation, add a focused access/mechanism gap, history, tests and regenerated page.

Duplicate check: 661 all-state issue titles/bodies and ignored-inclusive local history/reports/research/tests. Closed #1270 concerns different records (000179/000185); preserve it. Comments not exhaustive.

    Addressed in draft PR #1323 at db05129. The medium-context arrow is removed, all three observations remain, the earlier capacity-edge removal is preserved, and empirical member evidence is distinguished from coculture causality. Thirty local gates passed (243 regressions, 3 rights tests, 91 MATCH snippets); post-commit docs-current passed. The committed ledger explicitly retains the primary full-body access limit. Exact-head self-adversarial review: #1323 (review) . Issue remains open pending protected main merge; #1322 remains separate.
