Remove unsupported AECC coculture arrows and qualify competition evidence #1325
Record: kb/communities/Clostridium_Cellulovorans_Beijerinckii_AECC_ABE_Coculture.yaml (CommunityMech:000323). Reviewed at db05129c5f8a9fb47b6ed716405dce1be845a207 against PMID:25023325, full primary main body.
The saccharification-to-population-dynamics arrow treats substrate provision as sufficient to establish the observed competition pattern. The primary paper varies inoculation timing, ratio and pH-control duration; its Results/Discussion explicitly leave molecular competition/cooperation unresolved. Population assays alone do not isolate reciprocal resource limitation, and Methods use RNA/cDNA for the reported 16S assay rather than direct cell counting.
The butyric-acid-to-saccharification arrow points from a proposed cosubstrate arm to the other substrate-supply process. The reported co-utilization does not establish that butyrate causes upstream lignocellulose saccharification or soluble-sugar release. Organic-acid source attribution is also not a traced partner-specific flux: both organisms' metabolism and pH strategy matter.
Acceptance
Retain supported sugar supply and in-situ butyric-acid contribution with condition and flux limits.
Remove both unsupported arrows without inventing replacement nodes.
Preserve observed population dynamics and experimental operating-condition comparisons, but mark competition as proposed rather than categorically demonstrated.
Record pH/inoculation covariates and assay limitations, add a knowledge gap, regression tests and append-only history.
Whole record, primary Background/Results/Discussion/Conclusions/Methods, four main figure captions and Table 1 read; figure images not inspected. Dedup: all 665 issue titles/bodies plus ignored/hidden local review/history/research/test files. No matching graph issue; unrelated broader issues not reopened.
Addressed by #1328 at 3619c52dbd64fccba58dfcd1a3815d6d3685411c. Exact-head source-based self-adversarial review: #1328 (review). All 30 local gates pass (247 regressions; 79 MATCH snippets; three rights tests; deterministic renders and actual post-commit docs-current). See committed batch-19 decision/adversarial/validation artifacts for source bounds and node/arrow accounting. Kept open until protected main merge; #1327 is a separate unresolved non-graph follow-up.
