Separate yeast-cellulose graph persistence and enzyme-assisted productivity #1336

Closed

Description

@realmarcin

Source-based self-adversarial finding in Clostridium_Saccharomyces_Cellulose_Ethanol_Coculture (CommunityMech:000206).

The graph's sugar-feeding evidence cites the approximately 22 g/L ethanol result without the added-endoglucanase condition. Its long-term persistence endpoint is encoded as a directional yeast-to-bacterium interaction although both populations were monitored. Descriptions need to distinguish condition-dependent mutualism from universal obligacy, partner-resolved transfer, and productivity improvement without supplementary enzyme.

Acceptance: retain the supported respiratory-protection/sugar-supply cooperation and both causal links, preserve oxygen-positive/negative controls and viable-count evidence, mark long-term maintenance as a two-member community outcome, and retain the enzyme-assisted ethanol observation with its experimental context. Do not erase the paper's positive mutualism evidence or claim identical oxygen conditions for all monoculture controls.

Primary: Zuroff et al. 2013, PMID:23628342. Full main body, Methods and six main captions reviewed from primary XML; figures/supplementary files not visually inspected. The 50-day arm and reactor/media metadata require a separate follow-up. Exact-graph deduplication used 674 all-state issue titles/bodies and ignored-inclusive local files; closed #639 is nomenclature work, not this finding. Self-review, not independent approval.

    Addressed in #1339 at b4fd7d01144bf9815c3c5b5ce8c1c7b628a0a018. Exact-head source-based self-adversarial review: #1339 (review). All 30 local gates and actual post-commit docs-current passed; 262 passed in 220.78s (0:03:40); 83 MATCH snippets, zero other classes; 3 passed in 2.34s; 55 unrelated raw blocks and four caches byte-preserved. See committed batch21 decision/adversarial/validation records for assay bounds and full node/arrow accounting. This issue remains open until protected main merge; #1338 is separate non-graph work.
