Non-graph followup for CommunityMech:000020, PMID:36300970, after complete primary main-body review via ASM-provided public preview.
Methods report 13 C, 15h:9h light-dark and 25 micromol photons/m2/s, not the record's 18 C, 12h:12h and 100. Distinguish initial 48-well screen from exact five-member T75 flask experiment (150 mL ASW2, 3 diatom cells/mL, no shaking). Methods calls ASW2 artificial seawater while Results calls it natural-seawater-derived; bacterial initial densities also differ between stated aim and Methods. Record and resolve these discrepancies rather than silently choosing. The MBM nutrient assay is separately at 28 C and 150 rpm.
Taxon notes/roles overstate thermodynamic syntrophy, universal DMSP capacity, vitamin donation, and proven HEPES use; HEPES carbon use is a hypothesis. Crocei1 benefits from the diatom while inhibiting it; diatom suppresses CS1 and has no significant CS4/Rose1 growth effect. Bacterial qPCR calibration against CFU is not viable coculture plating. Engineering evidence quotes no synergy as proof of nutrient provision. Reconcile those explanations and wrong vitamin B12/cob(I)alamin media identity in a separately validated metadata patch. Canonical genus entries remain preserved by the graph-only edit; species-level refinement needs grounding. Existing #1082/#1289 cover external link defects. This issue is not closed by graph repairs.
Dedup: 691 all-state issue titles/bodies plus hidden/ignored-inclusive local reports/history/research/tests searched. No exact finding in that scope; comments not exhaustively searched. Source-based self-adversarial review, not independent approval.
Explicitly tracked as an open non-graph followup in #1361; the graph-only patch does not close this issue or certify unrelated metadata. Full source scope and access limits are in committed batch25 reports.
