Cyprus ingredient metadata: correct chalcopyrite oxidation states and qualify Fe-specific attribution #1372

Description

@realmarcin

Non-graph follow-up for CommunityMech:000217, Cyprus_Copper_Sulphide_Bioleaching_Consortium.yaml. Primary paper, PMID:41381092, Results 3.1 and Methods 2.1.

The chalcopyrite related_ingredients explanation calls it a Cu(II)/Fe(II) sulphide source. The primary mineral-structure discussion instead describes monovalent copper and trivalent iron in chalcopyrite; do not conflate formal mineral oxidation states with dissolved Fe(II) in the oxidation cycle.

The ingredient prose also calls mineral-derived Fe the explicit isolated experimental variable and suggests a soluble Cu(II)+Fe(II)+sulphide substitute for reproducing the mineral enrichment. Switching CuFeS2 to Cu2S changes mineral structure, dissolution behavior and surface chemistry as well as mineral-derived Fe. The proposed soluble surrogate was not tested. Qualify these claims without erasing the genuine Fe-availability hypothesis or the source's laboratory enrichment protocol. Keep this separate from the graph-only repair.

    Graph-only corrections published in #1374. This non-graph metadata issue remains open: those record blocks are byte-preserved, not certified or silently corrected by the graph review. Source-scope limits and the related graph decisions are in the committed review records.
