DIETsimp metadata: retain proposed-mechanism and performance-comparison limits #1373

Open

Description

@realmarcin

Non-graph follow-up for CommunityMech:000297, DIETsimp_Lignocellulose_to_Methane_DIET_Consortia.yaml. Primary abstract, DOI:10.1016/j.biortech.2026.135043.

The top-level description and taxon notes/roles state direct electron donation and acceptance as established. The abstract instead proposes that pathway from community electrochemical/spectral and metagenomic evidence. Qualify non-graph mechanism language consistently with the graph without erasing the positive measurements or canonical identities.

The reported 15-16 versus 25-40 day periods and about 32 versus 10-25 mL/gVS/day rates are described as this study versus the present level, not clearly a matched concurrent control. The medium's incubation_time is currently taken directly from that performance endpoint. Keep methanogenesis period separate from a verified culture protocol and avoid attributing improved performance selectively to DIET without perturbation evidence. Full Methods/Results were not accessible in this review; retain that limitation rather than supply guessed conditions.

Deduplication: 700 all-state issue titles/bodies, relevant prior issues, and ignored/hidden-inclusive local review/history searches. Not every issue comment was searched.

    Graph-only corrections published in #1374. This non-graph metadata issue remains open: those record blocks are byte-preserved, not certified or silently corrected by the graph review. Source-scope limits and the related graph decisions are in the committed review records.
