Deepwater metadata: qualify Methylophaga methane claims and separate field from enrichment protocols #1379

Open

Description

@realmarcin

Non-graph follow-up for Deepwater_Horizon_Deep_Sea_Oil_Plume_Succession.yaml (CommunityMech:000166).

The methane ingredient cites a fragment of PMID:24865772 without its qualification: the abstract explicitly leaves Methylophaga methanotrophy unestablished. Preserve the distinction between methane, other C1 substrates and possible larger-hydrocarbon degradation. Do not make this taxon a demonstrated methane consumer.

The oxygen prose turns the bounded potential conclusion in PMID:20736401 into an established plume-wide result. Also distinguish 5 C oil/COREXIT enrichments from the room-temperature, dispersant-free SIP experiments in PMID:27572965, and surface-PAH from deep-alkane source waters. Genomic capabilities in PMID:25071745 remain predictions; a partial SAG and regulator hit do not establish the missing butane monooxygenase pathway. Preserve #401's withheld Colwellia grounding. Graph-only curation does not resolve these non-graph fields.

Deduplication: 706 all-state issue titles/bodies and ignored/hidden-inclusive local reports, research, history, tests and scripts; relevant #401 and #754 read. Not every issue comment was searched.

    Graph corrections published in #1381; this non-graph follow-up remains open. These metadata blocks are byte-preserved, not certified by graph curation. Source limits and exposed connectivity gaps are recorded explicitly.
