Dhc195/DvH graph: separate sulfide inhibition from hydrogen competition and recipient activity #1382

Description

Dehalococcoides_Desulfovibrio_Lactate_TCE_Syntrophy.yaml (000199).

The enhanced-dechlorination node describes strain 195's phenotype but is labelled as another DvH-to-Dhc cross-feeding event. Keep the phenotype and positive fermentation support separately. The sulfate node carries COMPETITION and its arrow suggests reducing-equivalent diversion causes the loss of dechlorination. Mao 2017 distinguishes accumulated sulfide toxicity from hydrogen starvation using electron-donor excess and re-amendment controls. Bound this arrow to the tested high-sulfate coculture; do not transfer the donor-limited butyrate-triculture outcome to the two-member lactate system.

Retain all three nodes and both arrows. The approximately threefold effect in Men 2012 concerns dechlorination rate, not all growth outcomes. Proposed ancillary metabolic benefits are not established mechanisms. Sources: complete cached abstracts, full Mao primary body; Men primary body was not accessible. No full article will be added to git.

Deduplication: 712 all-state issue titles/bodies, broader Dehalococcoides/corrinoid synonym searches, and ignored/hidden-inclusive scoped local reports, research, history, tests, scripts and workflows. Relevant broader issues #765, #650, #543, #529, #384 and #383 describe other records or general safeguards, not these defects. Not all issue comments were searched.
