FOS gut-liver metadata: distinguish HepG2 pretreatment from rescue of established steatosis #1449

Open

Description

@realmarcin

FOS_Lactobacillus_MinimalCore_GutLiver_SynCom.yaml, PMID:42781020.

The description says metabolites were tested on palmitate-induced steatotic HepG2 cells. Methods instead pretreated cells with 0.1 mg/mL extract for 24 h, removed treatment, then challenged with 0.25 mM palmitate for 24 h. This is not rescue treatment of established steatosis. Review metadata that calls strain enumeration RT-qPCR: enumeration used DNA/qPCR standards, whereas transcript assays used RNA/cDNA. Cd36 mRNA association is not proven protein/transport mediation or a clinical effect. Existing proposed add-back experiments are proposals, not work already done; preserve that distinction and prior #1206 role corrections. Graph-only repairs preserve non-graph fields without certifying them.

Deduplication: 766 all-state issue titles/bodies plus ignored/hidden-inclusive local searches; relevant #596, #1206, #816, #1027 and #1140 and prior record histories read. No exact duplicate in that scope; not every comment searched. Full cached main bodies read for all three records; actual FOS Figure 7 inspected. Other figures, separate supplements and raw data were not reviewed.

    Graph-only repairs published in #1451. This separate follow-up remains OPEN; non-graph raw blocks preserved, not certified. No culture-protocol, top-level wording or organism-role repair is claimed.
