The three current microbial nodes omit the source-backed extract/host-cell endpoint. Primary Methods and Results describe extract pretreatment followed by palmitate challenge, reduced Oil Red O lipid staining and Cd36 mRNA for probiotic/whole-community extracts, but no identified active metabolite or selective Cd36 mediation. Assess an evidence-bearing endpoint and bounded link, without inventing a specific acid donor or causal gene mechanism.
