Bound Brachypodium SynCom15 persistence and drought-recovery mechanisms #1545

Open

Description

Finding

kb/communities/LBNL_Brachypodium_Drought_SynCom15.yaml includes two assembly/design procedure nodes and overstates uniform in-vitro persistence. PMID:40862137 Results reports six strains undetectable or below 0.1% after three weeks in vitro. Plant phenotypes did not differ significantly during sustained drought, whereas rewatering produced significant benefits. Genomic traits and isolate-level assays do not establish metabolite delivery or necessary plant mechanisms; root-tip responses differ by strain and condition.

Repair

Remove the two design-only nodes, retain bounded genomic/phenotypic potential and positive persistence/recovery/spatial observations, qualify untested mechanisms, correct host evidence context, and retain the existing zero-arrow graph without inventing links. Record exact canonical aggregate membership without pretending the NCBITaxon:2 placeholder resolves all strains.

Full fresh Europe PMC primary XML body, Methods, Results, Discussion, embedded table text and captions read; original figures, separate supplements and raw data not audited. Add every-node decisions, history, tests, actual validation output and regenerated page. Self-adversarial review is not independent approval. Close only after protected-main merge.
