Separate B12 SynCom outcomes from correlation-like causal arrows #1725

Open

Description

@realmarcin

CommunityMech:000381; PMID:42549325. Preserve the four existing observations/interpretations and the reported whole-community benefit. Remove two arrows that use correspondence or coincident expression to assert that the composite rescue outcome causes biosynthesis/acquisition. Qualify the existing carbon-support direction as a proposed reciprocal explanation. Transporter transcription is not directly measured vitamin flux or demonstrated competition; extracellular vitamin was not detected. Remove unsupported categorical classifications while retaining positive observations and the authors interpretation. The abstract/discussion disagree with the focused results on one producer identity; omit the disputed graph participant pending a separate reconciliation, without substituting a new producer. No new mechanisms, strain combinations, growth optimization or experimental designs. Close only after protected-main merge.

All-state issue titles/bodies searched by IDs, references and stems. Ignored/hidden local search included, excluding .git/docs/site/references_cache; relevant caches separately inspected. Closed #1189-#1192 and earlier validation/rendering issues do not cover these findings. Existing #765 owns broader propanotroph re-evidencing after #754; no duplicate non-graph issue filed for that scope. Comments and PRs not exhaustively searched. Source-based self-adversarial review, not independent approval.
