Separate wax-removal performance from inferred cooperative mechanisms #1732

Open

Description

@realmarcin

CommunityMech:000324; PMID:41905048. Preserve all three nodes and both existing arrows, including the positive consortium-versus-monoculture result and reported interface/precursor explanation. Accessible evidence is the primary abstract, whose multi-omics and molecular-docking interpretation does not independently establish mediator necessity or reciprocal partner fitness. Qualify the proposed mechanism and existing directions, remove categorical MUTUALISM from the composite mechanism and removal endpoint, and use canonical participants for collective nodes. No new mechanisms, strain combinations, growth optimization or experimental designs. Close only after protected-main merge.

All-state issue titles/bodies searched using references, IDs, full/short names and distinctive strain terms. Ignored/hidden local files included; .git/docs/site/references_cache excluded, relevant caches separately inspected. #353 is an unrelated numeric-ID match. Explicitly read closed #529 (general cultivation-source scope) and #878 (Klebsiella GTDB grounding); neither resolves this finding. Comments and PRs not exhaustively searched. Source-based self-adversarial review, not independent approval.
