Bound QY2-S1 inferred support network and syntrophy evidence #1746

Description

Record: kb/communities/QY2S1_Dehalogenimonas_BFR_Bioremediation_Consortium.yaml (CommunityMech:000424).

P2: The support node labels a genus-composition-based network as categorical SYNTROPHY with SUPPORT evidence. The primary main text, section 2.3, proposes auxiliary support and an indirect hydrogen-consumption role for methanogens, but methods measure substrate/products and absolute 16S abundance, not partner-specific exchange or product-removal feedback. The generic sentence also conflates hydrogen provision with hydrogen consumption.

Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC13410018/ (PMID:42511722).

Repair: keep the existing support hypothesis, qualify HYPOTHESIZED/PARTIAL and remove the categorical type; distinguish fermenter provision from proposed methanogen consumption without adding topology. Preserve the positive transformation/inhibition findings and existing species/RDase gap. Current schema explicitly does not require obligacy for SYNTROPHY; missing product-feedback evidence, not obligacy, is the issue. Do not restore the intrinsic respiration node removed under #1062; #1063's medium correction remains untouched.

Source-based self-adversarial finding, not independent review. Acceptance: focused schema/strict/term/reference checks, explicit snippet-access limitations, regression tests, history, both-root audit and regenerated pages. Close only after protected-main merge.
