Qualify PPOW member roles and expose contradictory control reporting #1752
PMID:42491060 section3.2 explicitly infers member complementarity and says the mechanism remains unclear. The existing graph nonetheless marks each role SUPPORT/IN_VITRO. Keep NICHE_PARTITIONING as an explicit HYPOTHESIZED/PARTIAL model, preserve the positive bulk removal endpoint, and do not invent directional cross-feeding. Methods2.4 describes heat-killed/abiotic controls, but the conclusion says they are lacking. Record this internal source conflict rather than asserting either proven control adequacy or complete control absence.
Fresh all-state issue titles/bodies searched, including closed875/876 and1028-1030; these concern earlier recipe/endpoint/grounding fixes. Local search included ignored/hidden files, excluding.git/docs/site/references_cache; relevant caches separately checked. Comments/PRs not exhaustively searched. Close only after the repair reaches protected main.
