Bound R. palustris-E. coli cross-feeding to tested recipient and donor contexts #1755

Open

Description

Finding

The graph generalizes ammonium transfer across strain contexts and its fermentation-product explanation can include ethanol/formate. The complete NSF-hosted primary author manuscript distinguishes engineered ammonium donors from WT-based cocultures whose emergence depended on recipient adaptation. Retain reciprocal carbon/nitrogen cross-feeding and both existing arrows, but qualify donor/recipient scope and specify the consumed organic acids; do not add genetic designs or a new feedback edge.
