Separate acetate-to-butanol output from exchange and bound carbon attribution #1865

Description

Finding

CommunityMech:000363. The production endpoint is not a second pairwise cross-feeding event. Preserve measurable 1-butanol and acetate-supported growth, but qualify acetate-to-product carbon routing: the authors explicitly cannot exclude other cyanobacterial carbon pools, and do not isotope-resolve product carbon. The 42-day culture has fluctuating product titers and population changes, not uniform high productivity. Distinguish improved growth after acetate adaptation from increased butanol yield. Reuse the existing carbon-specificity discussion rather than duplicate it.

Evidence And Scope

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42726284/
Whole three records and independently retrieved primary abstract/main bodies, Methods, embedded captions and tables were read. No separate supplements, original figure pixels or raw datasets were audited. Source-read limits and exact artifact hashes will accompany batch111.

Fresh all-state title/body dedup matched #850/#622/#1547; all bodies and related #529/#1091 were read. Local search included hidden and ignored files in its recorded scope. PR comments and all historical local reports were not exhaustively searched.

Lifecycle

Address in dependent batch111; close only after protected-main merge. Source-based self-adversarial review, not independent approval. No new topology, paid Edison job or experimental protocol is proposed.

Graph repair addressed; close only after protected-main merge. #1870 at c38a890; exact-head self-review #1870 (review). 1003 passed in 467.34s (0:07:47); postcommit docs-current passed. Decisions, 34 gate outputs/digests, three append-only histories and four mutation probes are recorded. Source-access and non-graph limits remain. Self-review is not independent approval.
