Finding

CommunityMech:000182 retains sound acetate-linked syntrophy, but its formate node and arrow present the 2019 proposed reverse-electron-transport mechanism as demonstrated. Distinguish measured enzyme/proteome evidence from unverified proton coupling and ATP-independent acetate activation. Do not erase the independent experimental support for formate involvement: the 2001 partner-comparison abstract reports faster PB/TM than PB/DeltaH conversion and low formate concentrations. Also keep the 2002 TM/PB methanogenesis expression result distinct from the separate DeltaH/butyrate system. Preserve both original directions with evidence-bounded wording.
