Finding

CommunityMech:000416 types conversion of externally supplied H2/CO2 as CROSS_FEEDING and VFA dynamics as demonstrated SYNTROPHY. The single-CSTR study measures methane composition, VFA pools, phylum profiles and group-specific qPCR. It interprets taxon-specific routes without directly measuring transfer or product-removal-dependent thermodynamics. Washouts contribute to VFA dynamics; gene copies do not measure activity. Retain the positive 86% methane and VFA observations, qualified source interpretations, and representative overlapping taxonomic groups. Do not substitute potential >90% for observed performance or add an unsupported VFA-to-gas arrow.
