Most of what I build is out of interest, and sometimes a tiny bit of spite for an existing solution.
I am not anti-AI but I never use it to write code for projects, only to ask questions about codebases. It's a useful tool but a lot of what it generates is or will devolve into slop without constant vigilance and care, which I feel like defeats the purpose.
