Desktop-only tracks and Northern Lights scenery now live in Dev-v1/beebright-local, which builds and releases its own source. Restore the website's original four racing tracks and remove its desktop parity workflow; local testing and release automation now run in the local repository.

The website's build-local script becomes a compatibility download bridge. It preserves the website spelling catalog and forwards old update manifests/installers to the independently published local GitHub release. It no longer compiles, packages or synchronizes desktop code. Historical local documentation points to the maintained repository.

The local repository now accepts update ZIPs only from beebright-local releases and verifies SHA-256, preserving user data. Its CI builds and publishes a ZIP and manifest for every main-branch code change. The migration removes website-first updates after an older launcher receives the new installer/package.

Validation: local repository 56 JavaScript tests and 19 Python tests pass, including repository-only update URLs and progress preservation. Website catalog and production build checks are being run on this branch.
