STAC Browser Customisation - Contribute to plugin system for content blocks in STAC Browser (continuation)

After the implementation of the first round of plugin features (see issue #8) further work is needed as soon as STAC Browser hits new major versions (see #4). This issue is currently a placeholder for the work that comes once it is possible.

@silvester-pari We did not work on the plugin system this quarter, but we did work on the CSS variables, runtime styling and config.
Could you reivew radiantearth/stac-browser#873, please?

@m-mohr I have added some comments to the PR, nice progress! This was a continuation of #2 / #6. Regarding plugin system, let's move to Q3 as you suggested in #12.
