# Making your device discoverable on the network
```
For RPiPlay to work correctly, you need to start (or start and enable) the avahi-daemon service on your system. This will make your device discoverable on the network.

Use

systemctl start avahi-daemon.service

to start the daemon now or

systemctl enable --now avahi-daemon.service

to start the daemon on every boot and now.
```
