Freshly generated chat apps still copied a separate Vite 6 lock with six affected transitive packages, despite the root toolchain upgrade. Update the source template to Vite 8.3.4 and plugin-react 6.1.2, regenerate its lock, and document the required Node version and newer default browser targets. Runtime dependencies, chat behavior, styles, generator and smoke assertions are unchanged.

Validation on a fresh generated app: clean install, full dependency graph, no-key demo, all 65 unchanged runtime scenarios (196 cancellations; zero retained timers), production build, and a full audit with zero findings. Chrome production-preview keyboard Stop/Retry retains previous answers; observed desktop/mobile layouts have no horizontal overflow. The first automated pointer attempt was inconclusive and is not counted as proof.

Independent gpt-6-astra/xhigh code and simplification review both approved the exact four-file diff 027e646db5f3c243cea2cc0ad296272b5369b050d5ce364df64270744f84d23a, tree 2cb725dba84796b389d79524e611bfc06aa0b673. The reviewer rechecked 13 raw command receipts, 229 cached tarball identities/integrities, unchanged runtime entries and package inclusion, and reproduced JS/CSS/HTML byte-for-byte in an in-memory production build. Native Linux exact-head CI remains the merge gate.

No provider evaluation or hosted deployment. Older browsers and other Node versions are not certified; remaining runtime-library upgrades are separate work. Model-refresh PR #15 is untouched.
