James Mordecai

Microbiologist & Bioinformatician

I am a doctoral student specializing in microbial genomics, metagenomics, and interactive data visualization. My work focuses on constructing automated analysis pipelines for microbial genomics and building intuitive web applications to explore biological datasets.

My programming toolkit includes R, Python, and Bash, along with workflow automation using Conda. I am passionate about making complex genomic data accessible through interactive dashboards built with R Shiny.

Check out my interactive PredKlebAMR Dashboard and Kenyan Human Gut Virome Dashboard to see examples of my visualization work.
