Introduces endpoint metadata and OpenAPI generation support for the API. This adds EndpointDefinition and Param models, exposes all registry handlers, and builds a generated OpenAPI document from registered endpoints. It also adds a build script with a stale-file check and tweaks the Swagger UI for GET-only testing, endpoint filtering, and try-it-out.
This change splits shared OpenAPI metadata into a catalog and per-endpoint docs, validates the generated spec against the registered endpoints, and updates the build script to fail when openapi.json is stale. It also removes the legacy EndpointHandler definition hook in favor of a doc-driven OpenAPI generation flow.
This commit introduces typed EndpointDefinition/Param models and a centralized EndpointDefinitions catalog, replacing the legacy endpoint_docs.php-driven OpenAPI generation. The builder now derives parameters from definitions, validates summary/tag consistency, and auto-adds pagination params. It also adds a round-trip test to ensure the definitions remain aligned with the legacy endpoint_params.json data.
This change updates UserDataStatusHandler to reject missing or invalid user params with a clear error instead of building an unrestricted query. The SQL is now a single filtered query for a specific user and selects distinct year/lang/campaign rows, preventing duplicate status records.
This change moves endpoint lookup to the registry/definition system and resolves handlers together with their endpoint metadata. Default table access is now explicit via a whitelist, and DefaultTableHandler receives the table name directly instead of trusting the request parameter. APIController was simplified to validate registry resolution and emit the proper error response without loading endpoint config on each request.
This commit introduces a typed endpoint model and migrates the category-related API endpoints to dedicated handlers. It adds DefinedEndpoint and re-enables definition() on EndpointHandler so handlers can provide their own EndpointDefinition metadata, while EndpointRegistry resolves definitions from the handler when available and exposes definitions() for round-trip checks. New handlers cover missing and missing_by_lang_and_category, exists_by_lang_and_category, exists_statics_by_category, and statics_by_category, with shared validation in CategoryLangHandler. These handlers replace the legacy callable-based implementations and keep the old endpoint names working through the registry.
This change restores explicit endpoint metadata methods in individual handlers while relaxing the shared interface contract. Each handler now imports EndpointDefinition and exposes a minimal definition, keeping endpoint metadata available for registry/docs without forcing every legacy implementation to match the same signature.

This commit reorganizes the PHPUnit suite by moving tests into tests/Helps and tests/Endpoints, and removes obsolete SQL and input sanity checks. It also cleans up formatting and minor style issues in src/app/helps.php and several test files to match the current codebase conventions while preserving the existing helper behavior.
This patch moves the legacy request and query helper layer into the App\Legacy namespace and updates the bootstrap and request entry points to use the renamed classes. It also updates legacy include paths, keeps the legacy request flow working through the new class-based API, and relocates the related tests to match the new namespace layout.
This change replaces legacy API callback wiring with dedicated endpoint handler classes for missing/category and top endpoints. It moves the SQL query builders into the new handler layer, updates the registry to register the new Top handlers, and removes the old legacy subs includes and function namespaces. The request flow is adjusted to use the new handler-based implementations while preserving the existing endpoint behavior.
This change moves the legacy request entry point into a proper `LegacyController` class, adds a namespace, and initializes it from `src/request.php` instead of including the legacy file directly. It also inlines the App autoloader into `src/app/bootstrap.php` and removes the old autoload file, cleaning up the bootstrap flow for the legacy API path.
Adds an explicit endpoint field to EndpointDefinition and switches OpenAPI generation to use registry-defined metadata instead of the legacy static catalog. Handlers now publish their own summaries/params when they implement DefinedEndpoint, and legacy endpoint entries are cleaned up to keep generated docs aligned with the actual routing layer.
Populate missing endpoint definitions and register several handler-defined endpoints in the API schema. This cleans up duplicate metadata in EndpointDefinitions, restores endpoint names for graph, leaderboard, category members, user status, and user data status, and adds the missing params and columns needed for generated docs and routing.
This commit centralizes endpoint metadata in the new DefinedEndpoint handlers and updates the registry to wire the current handler-based API surface. It removes legacy aliases such as views_new, lang_views2, and user_views2 from the legacy controller and aligns OpenAPI docs, pages/views/qids/users/leaderboard handlers, and related endpoint definitions around the same canonical names.
This change simplifies the endpoint layer around DefinedEndpoint and removes the legacy EndpointHandler pattern from handlers. The deprecated CallableHandler wrapper was deleted, and handlers now rely on the shared definition/handle contract directly. It also updates documentation and API comparison fixtures to reflect the current views endpoint naming, removing the stale views_new alias and aligning README entries with the active lang_views and user_views aliases.
Switch endpoint metadata to EndpointDefinition objects and make handlers expose their schema explicitly. This unifies the API context and registry code, keeps fallback lookup compatibility, and updates filter-building to operate on typed Param objects. Required view parameters are also marked explicitly.

This change updates legacy endpoint resolution to use EndpointRegistry definitions instead of static metadata, and tightens parameter handling in legacy helpers with typed signatures and explicit override support. It also fixes response metadata generation by filtering null supported values and keeps ordering/select behavior consistent across legacy query building.
