• feat(app-vite): Capacitor mode -> defineCapacitorConfig() now defaults the splash screen plugin's androidScaleType to CENTER_CROP. The plugin stretches its drawables (FIT_XY) when the app calls show(), which distorted the icon on any screen whose aspect ratio differs from the resource's; Icon Genie composes the splash screens icon-centered on a covering background, so cropping the edges loses nothing. A value you set yourself always wins and your other plugin settings are kept (#7751)
• feat(app-vite): templates -> the PWA manifest now lists the maskable and monochrome 512px icons with their purpose, and the BEX manifests list the 32px and 96px icons, matching the asset set generated by @quasar/icongenie v7+. This only affects newly generated modes (quasar mode add pwa / bex); in an existing project, run Icon Genie v7 and add the new entries to src-pwa/manifest.json / src-bex/manifest.json by hand. The unreferenced icons/ms-icon-144x144.png is gone from the PWA template

• fix(app-vite): PWA + SSG mode -> with workboxMode: 'InjectManifest' the generated service worker precached the SSG renderer's own __ssg__ files (hundreds of useless entries, a noticeably larger precache); the ignore rule now applies to both workbox modes
• fix(app-vite): Electron mode -> the template icon.ico is regenerated with bitmap small entries, so Windows renders the small sizes (taskbar, title bar) instead of showing a broken icon. This only affects newly generated projects; in an existing one, regenerate src-electron/icons/icon.ico with @quasar/icongenie v7+ (or copy the new template file)

• chore(app-vite): PWA mode -> the generated index.html no longer carries the msapplication-TileImage and msapplication-TileColor meta tags. They configured the pinned-site tiles of Internet Explorer and pre-Chromium Edge only; Chromium Edge takes its tiles from the web manifest, so none of the supported browsers read them. The icons/ms-icon-144x144.png file those tags pointed at is no longer generated by Icon Genie either (@quasar/icongenie v6.1.8+); an existing project can delete it from its public/icons folder, nothing references it anymore
• chore(app-vite): templates -> the Capacitor and Cordova index.html templates no longer contain the msapplication-tap-highlight meta tag (it targeted IE10 on Windows Phone). This only affects newly generated projects; in an existing project you can remove the line from src-capacitor/www/index.html / src-cordova/www/index.html (and from your root index.html) by hand, it has no effect on any supported browser
• chore(app-vite): upgraded deps -> vite ^8.3.0, rolldown ^1.2.8, sass-embedded ^1.104.1, @clack/prompts ^1.8.0, open ^11.0.3

• feat(app-vite): build -> quasar.config file > build > publicPath now accepts the relative "./" value, for a build that can be served from any folder without knowing its URL prefix upfront (assets are referenced relative to index.html, which is Vite's own relative base shortcut). The publicPath formatter used to root every non-URL value, so "./" became "/./", which Vite normalizes to "/": the option silently produced a root-absolute build instead. It is available for the SPA and PWA modes with Vue Router in "hash" mode only, since a relative build cannot work with history mode (the router has no way to know the prefix) nor server-side. Vue Router then derives its base from the page URL, and the dev server keeps serving from the root, same as Vite does (#16945)
