## MCP Server
The extension can host a local [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) (MCP) server so MCP clients can inspect and drive your debug session.

1. Enable the `minecraft-debugger.mcp.enabled` setting (the port is `minecraft-debugger.mcp.port`, default `19180`).
2. Run the command `Minecraft Debugger: Copy MCP Server Config`.
3. Paste the result into your MCP client's server configuration.

Tools:
- `get_status` - session, connection, command support and paused state.
- `get_logs` - recent debugger output, optionally filtered by level.
- `get_stats` - latest Live Diagnostics values (from enabled tabs).
- `get_diagnostics_tabs`, `set_diagnostics_tab` - list and enable or disable Live Diagnostics tabs.
- `debugger_request` - send the requests behind the Live Diagnostics buttons, such as starting a profiler.
- `get_stack` - call stack of a paused thread.
- `get_variables` - scopes and variables of a stack frame.
- `evaluate` - evaluate an expression, in a stack frame while paused or globally while running.
- `get_entities` - list entities of a dimension with their type and location.
- `run_command` - send a Minecraft command (fire-and-forget).
- `continue`, `pause`, `step` - control execution.
- `set_breakpoint`, `clear_breakpoints` - manage breakpoints.
- `wait_for_event` - wait for a log line or a stop, with an optional regex.

Security: the server only listens on `127.0.0.1` and requires a bearer token. The token is stored in the MCP client's config file you pasted it into; run `Minecraft Debugger: Regenerate MCP Token` to rotate it. Recent tool calls are shown in the home panel.
