Rust Load/Store currently offers compiler-managed scratch. This adds
TempStoragefor explicit capacity, alignment, shared or exclusive allocation, and automatic synchronization. Load/Store options borrow the descriptor, so calls and helpers can reuse one planned region.Typed reservations expose raw pointers with explicit release. Dereferencing them requires the documented initialization, bounds and synchronization obligations; release itself does not synchronize. Scratch-free Direct operations add no allocation or barrier.
Review after #12102. View this slice. This cumulative draft's owning scope is the public storage API, its examples, documentation and compiler contrasts. It requires cuda-rust #1574; the example pins that draft's reachable compiler revision.
Validation covers 72 storage cases, all three CUDA sanitizers, 42 compiler checks, exact layouts and final native artifacts, strict host/docs checks, and the standalone example using the matching installed Git toolchain with automatic backend discovery. Exclusive capacity covers the complete static plan.
