Related issue

Documentation follow-up to #3439 identified by the requested daily public-documentation accuracy audit; no separate issue.

Why this PR exists

  • A maintainer explicitly invited this PR in the linked issue or discussion
  • I am a maintainer / this is internal Roomote work

The exact audit window was 2026-10-08T03:00:45.854Z through 2026-10-09T03:00:45.854Z. All five first-parent squash commits on freshly fetched develop were reviewed. Model delegation documentation still described an agent-selected model and claimed reasoning-only choices bypass routing, contradicting #3439. The other durable changes already include documentation in #3438, #3436, and #3437; #3356 is accessibility polish requiring no new workflow guidance.

What changed

Clarify how users request or accept a delegated model, how continuations retain an earlier choice, and how requesting the deployment default differs from returning to an original choice. Explain that pasted model references and unrelated confirmations do not authorize a model, and that reasoning-only requests do not bypass coding-model routing.

This is a docs-only correction in apps/docs/models.mdx for integration-channel behavior. develop was 0a5ada20af4543eb408ce2c324a5f37b2cc96b99; stable main/v1.17.0 was 76401a4e99c4405d38d11fc0a4bd8d11a220c22c, with no release-branch commits in the window. The five changes have not reached that stable release. Recent pending docs PRs #3434, #3415, #3409, and #3404 were checked; their media, output-access, resumed-model, and attachment scopes are not duplicated here. Closed, unmerged audit PRs were not treated as shipped documentation.

How it was tested

  • mise exec -- pnpm --filter @roomote/docs check passed Mintlify validation and broken-link checks; generated Cookbook index remained up to date (7 recipes).
  • git diff --check passed.
  • Both changed sections rendered legibly in the genuine local Mintlify preview and were visually inspected. Screenshots prove rendered copy, not runtime model decisions; desktop light mode only. The unchanged unavailable-model paragraph below the delegation screenshot is outside its viewport. Existing green table-of-contents highlights have low contrast; main changed text is readable.
  • Pre-push oxlint, residual ESLint, check-types:fast (27 packages), and knip passed.
  • The optional pre-commit Judgement prose checks returned incomplete because a supported Jev provider was not configured; the hook allowed the commit. A configured full Judgement check remains outstanding.

Checklist

  • The PR title follows the repo convention: [Fix], [Feat], [Improve], [Refactor], [Docs], or [Chore] followed by a user-facing description
  • This PR is small and scoped to one change
  • pnpm lint and pnpm check-types pass locally
  • I added tests or included a clear manual validation note above
  • I removed secrets, tokens, private keys, and customer data from code, logs, and screenshots
  • If this change should appear in the changelog, I ran pnpm changeset

Formatting-inclusive lint/type commands and a changeset were not needed for this docs-only update; the repository's normal fast pre-push gates passed.

Reviewed both changed sections in apps/docs/models.mdx against the current delegation resolver, authorization context, launch guard, and related tests. The request/proposal precedence, continuation guidance, deployment-default behavior, and reasoning-only routing claims match the implementation.

Current-head docs validation, tests, lint, type checks, and knip passed. Build, compatibility, and JavaScript/TypeScript analysis checks were still running at inspection. No local validation suites were run.
