fix(ai-gemini): allow native image generation with store: false - #1928
generateImage with a native Gemini image adapter and modelOptions: { store: false } always threw Gemini <model> image interaction returned no id. even though Gemini had generated the image. With store: false Gemini does not store the interaction and leaves its id out, and transformInteractionResponse threw unconditionally when the id was missing. The id is only needed to chain an edit through previous_interaction_id, which an unstored interaction cannot do (the option's docs already say so), so store: false could never succeed.
The adapter now only requires the id when the interaction was stored. For an unstored interaction without an id, the result uses a local id from generateId, like the OpenAI image adapter does, so ImageGenerationResult.id stays a string and no public type changes. A stored interaction that comes back without an id still throws.
Tests in packages/ai-gemini/tests/image-adapter.test.ts: store: false with no interaction id returns the image and a non-empty id (fails on main with "returned no id"), and a stored interaction without an id still throws. The @tanstack/ai-gemini suite passes (412 tests) and tsc, oxlint and oxfmt --check are clean on the touched files. No live API calls were made. docs/media/image-generation.md now says that with store: false the returned id is local and cannot be used as previous_interaction_id.
Gemini leaves the interaction id out of an unstored interaction, and the
adapter threw 'image interaction returned no id.' on every such call even
though the image was generated. The id is only needed to chain an edit
through previous_interaction_id, which an unstored interaction cannot do,
so use a local id when store is false. A stored interaction without an id
still throws.

The Gemini image adapter now returns a locally generated ID when an unstored interaction has no ID. Stored interactions without an ID still produce an error. Tests and documentation cover the behavior.

Summary
Handle missing IDs for unstored interactions packages/ai-gemini/src/adapters/image.ts, packages/ai-gemini/tests/image-adapter.test.ts, docs/media/image-generation.md, .changeset/gemini-image-store-false.md
The adapter generates a local ID when store: false and the response has no ID. It still throws when a stored interaction has no ID. Tests cover both cases. The documentation states that a local ID cannot be reused as previous_interaction_id.
Changing shared options during a request can cause an unstored image response to be rejected. The change is otherwise mergeable with awareness of this narrow case.

Explanation
Issue #1915 requires store: false to return the image with result.id undefined or omitted. The adapter now returns a locally generated string from generateId(this.name) in packages/ai-gemini/src/adapters/image.ts. The change correctly avoids the throw for an unstored interaction, and the tests preserve the stored-interaction error, but the unstored result does not meet the issue's stated ID behavior.
Resolution
For an unstored interaction without an API ID, return id as undefined or omit it, and update the result type, test, and documentation as required. Keep the missing-ID error for stored interactions.

Use the storage value sent with the request.
If a caller changes a shared modelOptions.store while the request is pending, this check can use a different value from the one sent. An unstored response without an ID then throws instead of returning its image. The public activity passes modelOptions by reference. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Use request.store !== false here so the response uses the request’s captured value.
