DOM chart hosts can now opt into pointerEvent: 'pointerrawupdate' to receive raw pointer samples while keeping chart-owned focus. The default stays pointermove; unsupported browsers fall back, updates switch the active stream, and leave, cancel, disabled pointer handling and destruction retain their existing behavior.
This covers the raw-input part of #203. It does not address the separate CTM/cache questions or claim a hardware latency improvement, so the issue should stay open.
AI review notes:
Added six regression cases for fallback, stream replacement, leave/cancel, pointer opt-out and cleanup. Full DOM suite: 2,268 tests in 291 files pass; strict types, all six framework test configurations, Native types, Native/Expo packed consumers, seven adapters and unified packaging pass. The actual packed artifact passes 14 ownership checks in each of Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, with a failing unchanged-main source negative control.
Tanner approved the scoped costs after bundle optimization. Twelve same-feature alternatives were measured across 146 consumers. The final implementation preserves the byte-identical default pointer handler and native function registration. Four locked consumers add 0.299 kB minified and 0.108–0.130 kB gzip, all within the approved original costs. The other 126 consumers stay byte-identical. Only eight named ceilings, four exact size records and the TanStack source revision/input digest are updated; comparison numerical data and tolerances remain unchanged.
Separate-page timing showed inconsistent differences. Shared-page trials and four fresh-context tests with duplicate unchanged-release controls, reversed load order and rotated trial order showed no consistent candidate regression. These are synthetic dispatch checks, not physical input-to-paint measurements. No dependency or workflow changes are included.

New Features
DOM chart definitions can opt into earlier pointer samples with pointerEvent: 'pointerrawupdate'. Unsupported environments fall back to pointermove, which remains the default.
Bug Fixes
Pointer ownership and focus clearing on pointer leave or cancellation are preserved when using raw samples. Changing chart definitions keeps only one pointer-move stream active; disabling pointer interaction still disables automatic handling.
Documentation
Added guidance on configuring raw pointer input, its behavior, and the caveat that it may increase focus work without guaranteeing lower input-to-paint latency.

Walkthrough
DOM chart definitions can select pointermove or opt into pointerrawupdate. The renderer falls back to pointermove when raw updates are unsupported and reconfigures the active listener when options change. Documentation, tests, changeset details, and bundle measurement records are updated.
Chart definition options include pointerEvent, accepting pointermove or pointerrawupdate. The references describe fallback behavior and retained pointer ownership and focus cleanup.
Configure and validate the active listener packages/charts-core/src/renderer.ts, packages/charts-core/src/renderer.test.ts
The renderer selects the requested event when supported, reconfigures it after updates, and removes the active listener on destroy. Tests cover fallback, switching, focus cleanup, pointer opt-out, and destruction.

The changeset and API follow-up describe the option. Bundle measurements and budgets, comparison revisions, and the conformance manifest source hash are updated.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 2650c
The opt-in raw pointer option keeps the default behavior and falls back safely. The remaining issue is a documentation entry that claims packed-artifact browser coverage the repository's tests do not show. Narrow that claim or add the supporting tests; this is not a functional risk.
