Title
macOS: Cmd+Q does nothing when a terminal session is open
Platform
Desktop App - macOS
Server Installation Method
Docker
Version
2.8.0
CLI Installation Method
None
CLI Version
No response
Troubleshooting
The Problem
On macOS, Cmd+Q (or Termix → Quit from the app menu) does nothing when an SSH terminal tab is open: no dialog, no error. The app quits normally when no terminal is open.
Quitting from the tray icon menu works. pkill -x Termix has to be sent twice.
macOS unified log shows the window refusing to close when pressing Cmd+Q:
windowShouldClose: prevented close
Probably a beforeunload handler in the terminal view silently cancelling the close in Electron.
Expected: the app quits, or shows a confirmation dialog.
Environment: Termix 2.8.0 desktop app, macOS, Apple Silicon (arm64).
How to Reproduce
- Open the Termix desktop app on macOS
- Open an SSH terminal tab
- Press Cmd+Q → nothing happens
