So, sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have been wandering how do I make this mod to work? Do I need to put it in some kind of folder, download some other program, or something else?

Well, no.

First you will need to install forge to your instance, after running the instance once you will get a folder called mods generated in your instance's folder and that is where you throw the file
