Cooking Pot recipes involving a bucket of water don't work #796
This is a limitation with the way the sink currently provides simulated water buckets. Since the cooking pot needs an actual water bucket item, placing the recipe inside it fails.
While the error message could be improved, this is a bit of a low priority edge case, especially since requiring water buckets in the cooking pot isn't the best design in the first place (bucket pops out into the world after each cook).
Releases for future Minecraft versions may overhaul things to also allow automatic filling of actual water buckets for recipes, but for Minecraft 1.21.1 this is out of scope.

Ah, so it defaults to the sink even when you're holding a water bucket
Perhaps a different error message than "cooking pot is obstructed"?
