Plans for Tutorial 7 and 8?

Hi I found your tutorials for SDL 2.0 really informative and a great starting point for using SDL. I noticed however that you only have write-ups for tutorials 1-6 (7 and 8 are left out).

Do you have any plans to create tutorial write-ups for these two? If so, do you have an approximate timeframe of when you plan to write them?

I do plan to get around to them eventually, but I'm pretty busy with classes and some other projects at the moment so I can't really give a time frame, sorry. I'm also not as happy with the way I wrote the code for those tutorials so they need more work than the previous ones did. I think though that after finishing 6 you've got the very basics of SDL down and it shouldn't be too bad to start learning stuff from the SDL wiki and from more general game dev topic sites like game programming patterns and such.

It's good to hear you found the tutorials helpful! I'll leave this open as a reminder to get around to them hehe.

Oh I forgot to mention, Lazy Foo does have sample code for tons of stuff and some lessons written if you want to check those out, the wiki can be a bit sparse on usage examples.

I just wanted to chime in that 1-6 were fantastic. And I do feel like they're enough to get me the foundational knowledge needed to make other info on the internet make sense, but I'm still really looking forwarded to 7 and 8 ;)
